Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, striking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.
The traitor then paid off his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could enable the party enter places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the other eight participants to form the Questers and Strategists groups.
